Talcott students holding their new basketball jerseys

Meet Talcott Academy!

The first community to join our team was Talcott Fine Arts and Museum Academy, a Title I school in Chicago. When COVID hit, their sports program was one of the first to get cut. So, when the students returned, there wasn’t enough money to get their kids back in the game.

Their Plan

The school started a fundraiser to buy t-shirts for the students to wear as uniforms in the upcoming basketball season, but, unfortunately, they still weren't able to provide t-shirts to everyone.

Our Solution

All of our Team Caleb Captains know the amazing feeling of wearing your school’s sports uniform, so when we heard about Talcott, we knew we had to help. Thanks to our generous supports, we were able to donate 84 basketball uniforms to the 5th-8th grade basketball teams!

For most of these students, this was the first time ever wearing an official sports uniform, and we are honored to have them wear the Team Caleb logo.

...Students were able to put in their thoughts while designing the uniforms and students were invested from the very beginning of the process. Students loved receiving them in a presentation and learning about the life and legacy of Caleb, experiencing the joy of playing what we imagine Caleb would have loved to see. We are so thankful for the experience and opportunity to work with all the amazing people at Team Caleb.
